What is an Inventory and do I need one?
The tenancy inventory checklist is a complete record of decoration, fixtures and fittings and furniture content. The PDF report will list each and every item that makes up the property from the colour of the ceiling to the number of plug sockets. When accurate and detailed, an inventory will ensure the condition of the property and all its contents are recorded thoroughly at both check-in and check-out, of course it will also reduce the possibility of a dispute over missing items.
Without an Inventory report a landlord will find it very difficult to claim back any money from a tenants deposit, it is also important that the Inventory is non biased and completed by an independent party.
We will also note which keys have been exchanged, where smoke alarms are and if they are working and will also record the utility meter readings and serial number.
We are more than happy to take last minute and out of hours bookings as we know the property world doesn’t begin at 9am and end at 5pm.
We will send over the completed report within 24hours, and if required earlier (please add a note onto booking to let us know that it is urgent)
